Premier Corporate Governance Conference

Premier Corporate Governance Conference

Since its inception in 2009, the conference has been a leading event in Southern Africa. It offers attendees up-to-date information, interactive sessions, and insights from industry experts.

Integrated Reporting Awards

Hosted by the Chartered Governance Institute of Southern Africa and the JSE Limited, the Integrated Reporting Awards have celebrated corporate reporting excellence since 1956.

These awards emphasise transparent financial reporting and stakeholder disclosure. Companies voluntarily submit their reports for peer comparison and to showcase good governance.

Integrated Reporting Awards

The Awards process ends with a prestigious gala banquet. This year it’s taking place on 13 November 2024 in the Ballroom of The Wanderers Club when the Awards will be presented to winners in ten various categories.

CGISA and the IRC

CGISA has been an integral member of South Africa’s Integrated Reporting Committee (IRC) since its inception. The IRC promotes integrated reporting as a key tool for corporate transparency and stakeholder inclusivity.

South Africa pioneered mandatory integrated reports for listed companies. CGISA champions this through its annual awards, urging companies to prioritise integrated reporting. Mervyn King, chairman of both the IRC and the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC), received an honorary fellowship from CGI in 2017.
